If you are was asking yourself the reason why you go to church Or, you are not satisfied with the reasons people give you.
Growing up with my parents, I was not also giving the reasons for going to church also, I just know that on Sunday I have to wake up very early in the morning and follow my mom to church. Later I found out that the children's church is very fun cause we had to do lots of activities and I got interested going to church everytime.
So, growing up as a Christian, I figured out the reasons why my mom wake me every Sunday to prepare for church.
Have analyzed 12 reasons you should consider for going to church..
As Usual Let's Get This Talking Started!!!
#1. Jesus Christ died for the church.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
urch and gave himself up for her.
#2. We must be imitators of Christ and His apostles.
Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read.
Mark 1:21 Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.
Luke 6:6 And it came to pass also o n another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
Acts 11:26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
#3. You learn and better understand Scripture.
It increases your growth on your walk of faith.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom , singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
Proverbs 1:5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
#4. There is more guidance.
Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
Proverbs 24:6 for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.
#5. To have fellowship with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1 John 1:3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
#6. It is important to have fellowship with other believers.
Share, encourage, teach, love, help, etc.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and
so fulfil the law of Christ.
Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts . They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
#7. To worship God.
John 4:23-24 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Psalms 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD ! Praise the LORD!
1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
#8. Christians make up the body of Christ.
We belong to each other and we are to use what God has equipped us with for good.
Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:6-8 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Ephesians 4:11-12 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:26-27 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
#9. To be a good example.
1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
#10. It is important for spiritual growth and spiritual strength.
Colossians 1:9-10 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that
you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
1 Peter 2:2-5 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
#11. To put God first. Instead of doing other things on Sunday go to church.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness , and all these things will be given to you as well.
#12. It is never good to isolate yourself from other believers.
In your time of need how can someone help you? In someone else’s time of need how can you help them? Your spiritual growth will be hindered.
Proverbs 18:1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.
Going to church regularly is doing God’s will. As a reminder just because there are many people in a building doesn’t mean that is a church. Don’t go to a worldly church, but actually get up, stop making stupid excuses, and find a biblical place of worship today!
